After a few more seconds gaara lets the sand crumple away and lets the gentle breeze whisk it away.

Gaara keeping His pale blue eye's affixiated onto the newcoming desert style trail had done nothing but occasionally look forward to see if He had unintentionally walked of the sandy trail. Rather then let it all get to Him He decided to keep His emotions inside of Him.
