| Forgetting Kurenai for a moment, Nagato does several handseal, aiming at the sand Gaara launched into him. Suddenly, the sand started getting covered in ice, until it got completily frozen, so Gaara would control it. The ice was spreading further and further towards Gaaras gourd | |

As Kurenai tries to stab him,Nagato does a short series of handseal, so the kunai gets covered in ice, not stabbing Nagato fully, but still inficting some damage. Ignoring the pain, Nagato moved sideways, so he would have both Kurenai and Gaara in his field of view | |
